ZAGREB, Croatia (AP)—Dinamo Zagreb coach Krunoslav Jurcic has been fired after a 7-1 thrashing by Lyon in the Champions League. The defeat Wednesday is the worst outside domestic competitions for the Croatian champions. Dinamo’s goal difference of 3-22 after six consecutive group-stage defeats is the worst in the history of the Champions League

The defeat Wednesday is the worst outside domestic competitions for the Croatian champions.
Dinamo’s goal difference of 3-22 after six consecutive group-stage defeats is the worst in the history of the Champions League.
Dinamo director Zdravko Mamic sacked Jurcic after the match in Zagreb, apologizing to fans and saying he is “ashamed after this defeat.”
Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis scored four goals as the French team swept into the last 16 of the Champions League as runner-up in Group D.
Ajax lost 3-0 at home to Real Madrid to finish third in the group.
